International University for the Humanities and Development establishes dialogue with Romanian Universities
03.12.2024 | 21:00 |During a visit to Romania by a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, one of Romania's largest universities in the field of engineering.
The Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University, Horia Necula, expressed interest in establishing a long-term partnership with the Turkmen university. In turn, the Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, Nurmuhammet Shyhlyyev, noted promising areas for developing systematic dialogue, particularly in the field of information technology. He mentioned that Turkmenistan is implementing a Concept designed until 2025, which serves as a roadmap for the technological transformation of all sectors and their state management, as well as the formation of a knowledge-based economy based on the country's resource and production potential.
During the meeting, the parties proposed exploring the possibility of developing a joint degree program under the 1+1 system in the field of computer technology.
The Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development also visited the Romanian Oil and Gas University of Ploiesti, where held talks with its Rector, Alin Dinica.
Dinica also expressed interest in establishing and strengthening cooperation in the areas of academic education and research.
He spoke about the Romanian university's experience in implementing the Erasmus+ program and proposed establishing contacts in this direction, considering the prospects of expanding student and faculty exchange within this European program.
The Turkmen side proposed supporting the participation of professors and students from the Oil and Gas University of Ploiesti in the international mathematics Olympiad, which the International University for the Humanities and Development will hold in the first half of 2025.
The heads of the universities agreed to explore opportunities for intensifying bilateral contacts, including through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities, the organization of joint events, conferences, and online lectures.
