Turkmen youth are invited to the international Olympiad "Lobachevsky/RU"

Lobachevsky (NNSU) has opened registration for participation in the VII International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language "Lobachevsky/RU" starting from December 1st. This was announced in a message released by the university's press service.
"From December 1, 2024, Lobachevsky University opens registration for participation in the VII International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language "Lobachevsky/RU". The Olympiad aims to increase interest in studying the Russian language abroad, attract foreign citizens and compatriots living abroad to receive education in Russia, and identify the communicative competencies of students studying Russian as a foreign language", noted the message.
Foreign students of NNSU and other Russian and foreign universities, students of foreign schools, listeners of Russian language courses, foreign citizens and stateless persons aged 14 and over are invited to participate in the Olympiad. Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad will be granted the right to study for a master's degree in Russia under the intergovernmental quota.
The Olympiad is held in three stages from December 1, 2024 to March 28, 2025. To participate, it is necessary to fill out the registration form on the university's website and complete the online task of the first stage by March 1, 2025.
The "Lobachevsky/RU" Olympiad unites people from different continents: last year, representatives of 94 countries participated in the first stage. Turkmenistan was among the top 10 countries in terms of the number of participants.
Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky (NNSU) has been conducting the International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language "Lobachevsky/RU" since 2018. Since 2020, the Olympiad has been held in a remote format.
