 The Parliament of Georgia approved the government headed by Irakli Kobakhidze

The Parliament of Georgia approved the new government led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The Parliament also endorsed his government's program for the next four years.

As a result of the vote, 84 deputies expressed confidence in the government. No one voted against.

Earlier, Irakli Kobakhidze, who had previously served as Prime Minister, proposed three new candidates for ministerial positions.

In particular, Maka Bochorishvili was appointed as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. Anri Okhanashvili, who headed the parliamentary legal committee, became the Minister of Justice, and David Songulashvili took over the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia took place on October 26, with 2 million voters casting their ballots. Voter turnout was 58.94%.
