Service counters for foreign citizens open at Beijing Airports
10.01.2025 | 13:20 |Starting from the beginning of 2025, new service counters for international travelers have opened at Beijing's international airports, Capital International Airport, Shoudu and Daxing International Airport, Xinhua reports.
These "one-stop" service counters offer more than 20 different services covering areas such as finance, communication, transportation, culture, and tourism.
This innovation aims to create more comfortable conditions for foreign citizens arriving in the Chinese capital for leisure, study, or work. Travelers can use the counters to withdraw cash from bank cards, exchange currency, and receive assistance with installing local mobile payment applications. Services such as SIM card sales, Wi-Fi access, travel itinerary planning, and ticket booking for tourist attractions are also available.
One of the key services is the multifunctional Beijing Pass, which simplifies payment for purchases, public transport, and visits to places of interest.
In 2024, passenger traffic at the aforementioned airports of the Chinese capital exceeded 117 million people, a 26.2% increase compared to the previous year, with international passengers accounting for 16.8% of this total.
