Türkiye establishes Cyber Security Directorate
09.01.2025 | 13:28 |A Cyber Security Directorate has been established in Türkiye by decree of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
This new agency will be located in Ankara and report directly to the President.
The Directorate's primary mission will be to develop and implement the nation's cyber security strategy, as well as coordinate activities in this domain. The Directorate will be responsible for preparing action plans and developing regulatory frameworks. An important aspect of the new agency's work will be raising awareness of cyber threats and training specialists.
The Directorate's structure will include several directorates, among them the General Directorate of Cyber Defense and the General Directorate of Cyber Resilience. The new agency will have a staff of 135 personnel, and representations will be opened both domestically and internationally as needed.
