Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development sign loan agreement
08.01.2025 | 12:42 |On January 7, 2025, a signing ceremony for a Loan Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development in the amount of 300 million Saudi Riyals took place at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The loan will be allocated to finance the construction of a 200-bed oncology center in the Mary velayat.
The document was signed by Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development, and Rahimberdi Jepparov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The agreement was signed during the visit of the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development to Turkmenistan. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad also met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Saudi Fund for Development has previously participated in financing several large national and international projects, including projects in the fields of healthcare, transport and communications, and finance.
