Supplies from Turkmenistan accounted for more than 80% of tomato imports in Kyrgyzstan
08.09.2024 | 00:30 |More than 80% of imported tomatoes to Kyrgyzstan in 2024 are imported from Turkmenistan, according to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is posted on the republican open data portal Tazabek reported.
In total, from January to August (inclusive), Kyrgyzstan imported 15.9 thousand tonnes of tomatoes, of which 13.1 thousand tonnes were imported from Turkmenistan.
There were also supplies from Uzbekistan, China, and Iran. Since the beginning of the year, Kyrgyzstan has exported almost 2 thousand tonnes of tomatoes. All export volumes were sent to Russia and Kazakhstan.
