iOS 18 will allow you to send messages via satellite communication
12.06.2024 | 12:38 |The popular messaging app iMessage will include the ability to send messages via satellite.
The innovation was announced by Apple at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
This feature will allow users of iPhone 14 and later smartphones to send and receive text messages, stickers and reactions even when not connected to cellular or Wi-Fi networks. This is of particular relevance for residents of remote and hard-to-reach areas, where traditional communications often work intermittently.
iMessage will also get other useful features. In particular, the ability to schedule messages to be sent at a specific time, replies using stickers, advanced text formatting options (bold, italics, underlining, strikethrough).
iOS 18 will also bring privacy and security updates. For example, access to certain applications and services may now require additional user authentication. In addition, there will be expanded options for customizing the smartphone screen; you can change the location and appearance of application icons.
Overall, the new version of Apple's operating system will significantly improve the user experience and expand the functionality of devices.
