HTC returns to the smartphone market

Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer HTC is preparing to return to the mobile device market.

The company's official account on social network X published a promotional video of the new smartphone with a message about its imminent announcement.

According to the information, the presentation of the mysterious device will take place on June 12.

In 2008, HTC released the world's first Android smartphone, the HTC Dream (also known as the T-Mobile G1), with a slide-out display, a physical QWERTY keyboard, 256 MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, and 3G support.

At that time, it was a breakthrough device with wide possibilities for modification.

In 2018, the company sold most of its mobile division to Google and focused on the virtual reality market with its Vive line of headsets.
