Oriented on making people closer

On April 22, 2024, at the initiative of the government of the state of Hesse, at the Hessian State Chancellery (Wiesbaden city), the Hessian Minister for Federal, European and International Affairs and Bureaucracy Reduction (foreign policy and foreign affairs) Manfred Pentz met with the newly appointed consuls of foreign countries accredited in Hesse.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of State introduced the diplomats to the main tasks and activities of the State Chancellery, the trade and economic potential and cultural diversity of the federal state of Hesse. Along with this, the importance of the city of Frankfurt am Main was emphasized, acting as a “calling card” of this region, and being the largest business, financial and transport hub, one of the significant centers of culture, education and tourism in Germany.

Continuing the meeting, an acquaintance took place with the management staff of the State Chancellery of Hessen, as well as with new representatives of foreign consulates in Frankfurt am Main.

During his speech, the Consul of Turkmenistan in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) Murad Ozbekbaev noted the key vectors and prospects of Turkmen-German cooperation. Apart from that, the readiness of the Turkmen side to further increase the potential of trade and economic partnership, intensify ties in the cultural, educational and medical spheres with Germany, including with certain German regions, was indicated.

During a separate conversation between the Consul of Turkmenistan and Minister of State M.Pentz, the parties touched upon issues of strengthening bilateral political, trade and economic interaction, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian dialogue at the regional level.

In particular, M.Pentz expressed the special interest of the government of Hesse in establishing cooperation with Turkmenistan in areas of mutual interest. At the same time, the readiness of the State Chancellery of Hesse to assist the work of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Frankfurt for the development of interregional cooperation was affirmed.

In this regard, prospects for cooperation in the fields of trade, finance and investment with one of the most important financial and industrial regions of Germany were discussed, including the establishment of contacts between the business circles of both countries.

At the end of the conversation, the Minister of State spoke in favor of continuing the dialogue with the Сonsulate of Turkmenistan in order to substantively discuss the above-mentioned promising issues of cooperation.
