Rostelecom Information Technologies, part of the Russian telecommunications operator Rostelecom, plans to begin production of computers.

In particular, this list will include laptops, tablets, printers and other computer equipment.

The company has registered two trademarks for products of the ninth class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICGS) - a black symbol similar to a blot and the word “Iron”.

Product specifications and release date have not been specified. The company commented that a large number of research, development and pilot projects are underway.

From January 1 to March 19, 2024, consumers in Russia bought 682 thousand laptops worth 45 billion rubles. In the same period of the last year, this figure was 631 thousand units and 35.2 billion rubles.
