 London held the meeting of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industrial Council

The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Minister of Finance and Economy Mammetguly Astanagulov, visited London from March 6 to 7 to participate in the 8th meeting of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industrial Council (TUKTIC). This visit became a significant stage in the development of bilateral economic and trade relations between Turkmenistan and the UK.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation visited the London campus of Coventry University, where they discussed the possibilities of academic and scientific cooperation. In addition, they visited the office of BP, where they discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, as well as the London Stock Exchange, where they discussed the possibilities of expanding financial and investment ties.

On the second day of the visit, a meeting of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industrial Council was held, where representatives of the Turkmen delegation and leading British companies and organizations made their presentations and discussed opportunities for further strengthening the partnership between the countries.

During the meeting, the delegation of Turkmenistan presented its initiatives to improve the business climate and stimulate investment, emphasizing the importance of joint projects and programs aimed at developing infrastructure, technology and sharing experience.

In addition, a number of important issues related to trade, agriculture, water management, energy and sustainable development were discussed, as well as possible cooperation in the field of digital technologies and education. An important outcome of the meeting was the agreement on further strengthening mutually beneficial relations.

This visit was an important step towards further strengthening bilateral ties and creating new opportunities for joint initiatives.

On the sidelines of the TUKTIC meeting, important meetings were held, including with Lord John Alderdice, UK Trade Envoy to Central Asia, and representatives of JCB, where prospects for further cooperation were discussed.
