This autumn, the city of Tianjin, located in northern China, will host the next summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This announcement was made by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a press conference held during the 3rd session of the National People's Congress. This information comes from Xinhua News Agency.

Wang Yi noted that the summit will serve as a crucial platform for leaders of the SCO member states, allowing them to review their joint efforts, discuss future plans, and reach consensus on cooperative matters. He expressed his hope that the Tianjin summit will mark a new beginning for strengthening cooperation and fostering a more robust community with a shared future.

China holds the SCO presidency this year and is organizing over 100 events across various sectors. Wang Yi emphasized that the SCO holds particular significance for China, as it was founded in the country and named after the city of Shanghai.
