Oriented on making people closer

Turkmenistan is convening an international scientific conference "Ancient Anau culture". The forum will be held on March 27, the day after the start of the events dedicated to the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The delegates of the conference will also take part in these celebrations.

Historians, ethnographers, archaeologists, restoration architects, art historians, museum specialists from the USA, Russia, Turkey, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries are invited to the symposium. This was discussed at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, the contents of which were announced in the news release of the national State Television.

The discovery of the Anau culture was of great importance not only for the history of Southern Turkmenistan, but also for the history of the agricultural culture of the ancient East. The study of the Anau culture begins in the 80s of the XIX century and has been marked more than once by sensational finds.
