Teams from Turkmenistan participate in the Silk Road International Rally
07.07.2023 | 11:29 |The teams of the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan participate in the 13th edition of the Silk Road International Rally, which started in Kazan.
Thus, Turkmenistan is represented at the largest races in Eurasia by Merdan and Shohrat Toylyev, Maksatmyrat Danatarov, Didar Orazmedov, Begench Annaev, Muhametmyrat Gurbanov (Nissan Patrol), as well as Suleiman Annamammedov, Parahat Garlyev (Toyota LC 200).
93 crews from 21 countries of the world participate in the races, which will connect 13 regions of Russia by a single route from Kazan to Moscow.
Addressing the participants of the race, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov positively noted the contribution of the leadership of the Silk Road Rally to the development of international relations and the strengthening of friendly ties between the countries.
"And the fact that the Silk Road Rally starts for the thirteenth time shows how important it is for all our neighbors, for everyone who lives on this huge Eurasian continent, to feel belonging to a common cause — especially through sports, which brings people together through fair competition," Lavrov said.
In the fight for the "White Tiger", the main trophy of the rally, on July 7, the crews will go to the distance of the special stage — they will have to overcome 141 kilometers of dirt roads. In total, participants must overcome 5,241 kilometers of the distance, of which 2,277 are high-speed sections.
The International Silk Road Rally will last until July 15.
