President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the Balkan velayat on Wednesday, July 30, to personally verify the full readiness of the Turkmenbashi International Airport and the Avaza National Tourist Zone for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs). This important international forum will be a landmark event for the region and the world.

Turkmenistan: Key UN Partner on the Path to Sustainable Development

Upon arrival in Turkmenbashi, the head of state headed directly to the conference venue. Here, he was met by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and other officials. The head of the MFA reported on the completion of all preparatory work on the territory of the complex, including landscaping and creating the most comfortable conditions for the forum participants. All details have been thought out so that guests can fully relax and take walks in picturesque parks, and the service system is organized at the highest level.

Emphasizing the special significance of the upcoming forum, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the choice of Turkmenistan as the host country of the conference clearly demonstrates the consistent build-up of constructive cooperation with the UN. This partnership is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and fully meets the interests of universal well-being and progress. Holding such a large-scale event in the country also emphasizes Turkmenistan's active participation in coordinating efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Global Dialogue in Avaza: A Rich Program and High-Level Participants

The Third UN Conference on LLDC is expected to bring together high-level delegations from landlocked developing countries, as well as representatives of other UN member states, heads of international and regional structures, financial institutions, legislative bodies, public associations and the private sector. The forum has planned a variety of events: from political and diplomatic meetings and trade and economic discussions to cultural and humanitarian initiatives. All the conditions for their impeccable organization have already been created.

Cultural Diplomacy: Bridges of Friendship Through Art

After inspecting the main conference complex, the President of Turkmenistan visited the cultural infrastructure facilities of the Avaza National Tourist Zone. Here, on the Caspian coast, major international meetings, forums, concerts and festivals are traditionally held, confirming Avaza's status as a center of cultural exchange.

The upcoming celebrations within the framework of the conference will significantly strengthen the bridges of friendship between the countries, presenting their achievements in the field of culture and art. As noted, these events are aimed at expanding the ties of independent and neutral Turkmenistan with the states of the planet, as well as preserving and widely popularizing the national heritage and cultural values.

The ideological message of cultural diplomacy, which is an integral part of Turkmenistan's neutrality policy - peace, friendship, mutual understanding and the principles of humanism - is designed to unite peoples.

Time-Tested Hospitality: The President Instructed to Ensure the Highest Level of Reception

The head of state personally familiarized himself with the results of the work on receiving guests, which will be carried out in accordance with the original traditions of Turkmen hospitality. Modern hotels in Avaza, enhancing the magnificence of the Caspian coast, offer all the conditions for a full-fledged rest.
