The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium organized a bike ride in the format of a friendly competition as part of the celebration of the World Bicycle Day. The event was attended by several dozen people of different generations.
They rode bicycles along a given route in the landscaped city park of Brussels and around the picturesque lake in the Cambre Nature Reserve, and fresh air and wonderful landscapes became additional bonuses to physical warm-up.
The competitive spirit added emotions to the bike ride, while the participants did not compete, but encouraged each other. The creation of a festive atmosphere was also facilitated by the fact that Turkmen national snacks and dishes were waiting for the guests of the action, as well as gifts for those who finish among the first.
The event was attended by the heads of the international journal Diplomatic World, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Belgium and citizens of Turkmenistan.
The cycling event was a great opportunity for people from different walks of life to come together and celebrate the importance of sustainable transport and a healthy lifestyle.
In addition, according to the results of the competition, representatives of the embassies of Uzbekistan, Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were among the leaders of the race.

The celebration of the World Bicycle Day is just one example of our commitment to these values," Ambassador Sapar Palvanov commented on the event.
"Turkmenistan, promoting cycling as a viable and sustainable solution for greening urban transport and space, encourages people to reduce their carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the environment," the diplomat added.
