Komatsu establishes a subsidiary for the Central Asian market
07.05.2023 | 04:45 |The Japanese engineering corporation Komatsu will establish a subsidiary in Kazakhstan to strengthen sales and service activities for construction and mining equipment in the Central Asian region. The new company is due to start operations in August 2023, the heavy equipment manufacturer said in a press release.
By implementing this investment project, Komatsu hopes to strengthen and advance its position in the markets of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Komatsu has previously sold and serviced construction and mining equipment through distributors in the region, but with the opening of a subsidiary, it hopes to better understand the needs of customers in Central Asia.
Komatsu expects that in a region rich in natural resources, the demand for construction and mining equipment for infrastructure development will increase as global demand for resources grows and urbanization expands.
The new company will be located in Astana and will be called Komatsu Central Asia.
