Turkmenistan prepares for new academic year: regional outcomes and plans

As part of the national education system improvement program, Turkmenistan's regions are actively preparing for the start of the new academic year. This effort is aimed at enhancing the quality of education and strengthening the material and technical resources of schools.

The 2024-2025 academic year has successfully concluded in Lebap province. According to the Main Department of Education, the region has 384 general education schools, 3 boarding schools, and 284 preschool institutions. A total of 21,364 graduates have successfully completed their schooling, and preparations are underway to welcome over 24,830 first-graders for the new academic year. A new secondary school building in the Chardzhev district is scheduled to open by September 1.

In Balkan province, an August meeting for education workers was held at Specialized Secondary School No. 19 in the Magtymguly district. The meeting specifically focused on the training of school librarians, who presented reports on methodological and practical issues. This shows that the regions are taking a comprehensive approach to preparing for the new academic year, ensuring all parts of the education system are ready.
