Microsoft ends support for Windows 11 Home and Pro

Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 11 Home and Pro, version 23H2, will end on November 11, 2025. After this date, users will no longer receive security updates and will be advised to update their devices.

Microsoft is urging users to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2, the latest version of the operating system. It is important to note, however, that the update will be blocked on devices with certain incompatible drivers and software. Support for the corporate versions of 23H2 (Enterprise and Education) will last longer, until November 10, 2026.

Windows 11 Surpasses Windows 10

According to data from analytics companies, Windows 11 has surpassed Windows 10 in terms of installations for the first time. Statcounter reports that more than 53% of computers are running on Windows 11, while 42% of users are still on Windows 10. This advantage is even more pronounced among gamers: according to a Steam report from July 2025, 59.9% of players use Windows 11.
