It is immediately apparent that in the implementation of Turkmenistan's energy policy, special diplomatic activity has recently been observed in the Afghan-Pakistani direction. This is evidenced by the fact that for a period of two months a series of diplomatic steps took place, which ORIENT wrote about.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on November 28, last year, discussed the timely completion of the TAPI project during a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Arif Alvi, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend the OECD summit.

Shortly afterwards - December 18 - Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov in Islamabad during a meeting with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi outlined joint actions to promote the TAPI projects, as well as to the TAPI project and to the Transit Authority and the transit line. -Pakistan.

Two days later the same topics were the subject of talks between Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov and Pakistani President Arif Alvi, who declared his country's commitment to the completion of these mega-projects as soon as possible.

At the beginning of the current year - January 9 - i.o. Afghan Minister of Mines and Oil Shahabuddin Delavar told reporters after a meeting with Turkmenistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Khadzhiev that the TAPI gas pipeline project would be launched in the second half of 2022.

Two weeks later the heads of the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Pakistan over the phone paid special attention to the implementation of the TAPI projects, as well as the power lines and fiber-optic communication between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan-Pakistan.

Following this, a Turkmen delegation headed to Kabul to discuss and coordinate energy projects, including TAPI and TAP.

Analysts believe that Turkmenistan's diplomatic activity in promoting its energy projects should bring practical results in the near future. And 2022 promises to be key in addressing these issues.
