The Investment Forum of Turkmenistan is being held in London

The business event is hosted by the Institute of Directors (IoD), a business alliance of company directors, senior executives and entrepreneurs, the UK's oldest organization of professional leaders.
The government delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev. It also included high-ranking representatives of the state concern Turkmenneft, Turkmengaz, Turkmenhimiya, the agency Turkmensvyaz, the financial and banking sector, environmental protection, agriculture, water management, electric power, textile industries, construction and industrial complex, transport and logistics, as well as the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the head of the Union industrialists and entrepreneurs, etc.
Experts from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Fitch Ratings agency, the American media holding S&P Global also joined the discussion of the economic development and investment potential of Turkmenistan. In general, the event brought together about 350 participants.
During the working sessions of the forum, the delegates' attention was focused on such topics as investment opportunities in the energy and chemical sectors of Turkmenistan, "green" investments, renewable energy sources and hydrogen energy. In addition to representatives of Turkmenistan, top managers of the country's partner companies, including SOCAR, Dragon Oil, Yugneftegaz and the organizer of the forum Nielsonsmith, also shared their opinions.
Separate thematic sessions were devoted to commercial opportunities in the financial, banking and insurance sectors, investments and prospects for cooperation in agriculture and the textile industry, attracting capital to the development of Turkmenistan's infrastructure with a focus on information technology, telecommunications, transport and logistics. Individual business meetings and bilateral negotiations on specific proposals and projects were also held.
On November 23, the second day of the forum, a plenary session dedicated to current trends in financing investment projects and a number of thematic sessions by industry will be held.
