Turkmen-Uzbek political consultations with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov were held in Ashgabat on Friday.

New ambassadors of two European countries – Romania and Germany – have started their work in Turkmenistan. On Tuesday, they presented copies of their credentials to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.

On Tuesday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov flew around the new buildings of Ashgabat, also assessing the progress of improvement in a number of districts of the capital, after which the projects of new facilities were presented to the head of state.

According to the updated schedule on the official website, Turkish Airlines will resume direct flights between Ashgabat and Istanbul from September 1 after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Flydubai plans to start operating direct regular flights to Ashgabat for the first time since the start of the pandemic, according to the updated schedule on the airline's official website. The sale of tickets for the first flights is open from 30 October.

The international exhibition and conference "Construction, industry and energy of Turkmenistan - 2022" will open in Ashgabat on August 6. The exposition is dedicated to the Day of Construction and Industrial Complex Workers.

The Ambassador's Cup of the Republic of Korea in Taekwondo (WT – World Taekwondo version), played annually in the Turkmen capital, was held in the Olympic town of Ashgabat, except for the period that was associated with restrictions due to the global pandemic that swept the whole world.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov assigned Justice Adviser Ovezmammed Shikhmammedov as the prosecutor of the city of Ashgabat, relieving him of the post of prosecutor of the Bagtyyarlyk district of the Turkmen capital.

The meeting of the Board of the Austrian-Turkmen Society, which was held in Vienna and Ashgabat in parallel, was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries, which, in addition to trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, are united by the status of neutral states.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday visited a new industrial facility built in Ashgabat for the maintenance of power equipment, where he took part in the launch of the first such production in Central Asia.
