Oriented on making people closer

"One of the original traditions of the Turkmen people is the joint discussion of important issues. This democratic practice, tested for thousands of years, remains the driving force of our society in solving priority issues," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized at a meeting of the Presidium of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that the activities of the Khalk Maslakhaty are aimed at the effective socio-economic development of the country, strengthening national legislation, improving management and executive bodies.

"The activities of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan are aimed at forming new, advanced mechanisms for the socio-economic development of the country at a high level, effective management of this process, legislative and legal support, and organizational foundations of executive bodies," the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty said.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the advisability of preparing a draft Constitutional Law "On the Legal Foundations of the Peace and Trust Policy of Neutral Turkmenistan", which will enshrine the legal basis for the peace and trust policy, preventive diplomacy, the priorities of the domestic and foreign strategy of the state, as well as the norms and goals of the country's peace policy.

In the context of the International Year of Peace and Trust and the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the head of the Khalk Maslakhaty emphasized the international significance of Turkmenistan's neutrality, three times confirmed by the UN General Assembly, and the country's role in promoting a peaceful, humane policy, strengthening trust and cultural dialogue between peoples.

Among the key tasks ahead of the Khalk Maslakhaty meeting are the preparation of proposals on the economy, digital technologies, industry, agriculture, healthcare, education and sports, as well as an analysis of the implementation of programs and projects at the regional level.

Priority areas of work include:

maintaining macroeconomic stability and financial sustainability;

accelerated development of economic sectors and investment projects;

implementation of digital technologies and modern management methods;

development of private entrepreneurship and strengthening of production potential.

"The main goal of our work is to ensure a prosperous life for the entire population of the country and create a comfortable living environment for each person," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

In preparation for the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, extensive organizational work will be carried out: analysis of citizens' proposals, coordination with the Mejlis, ministries, regional organizations, public associations and the media, preparation of draft documents and issues for discussion, as well as active explanatory work on the importance of the activities of the Khalk Maslakhaty for the state and society.

The meeting also discussed specific measures for the further development of urban infrastructure, construction of new settlements, modernization of the agricultural management system and support for key sectors of the economy, which will strengthen the stability of the financial system and improve the standard of living of the population.

Expanding international cooperation, active foreign policy activities, implementation of UN initiatives and promotion of the principles of peacefulness at the global level remain strategic priorities of Turkmenistan.
