“Antiplagiarism” and Energy Monitoring: Digital Initiatives in Turkmen Science
16.09.2025 | 11:15 |Faculty members of the International Oil and Gas University named after Yagshygeldy Kakayev have developed the software “Antiplagiarism”, which has received certification from the State Service for Intellectual Property.
The software allows checking academic and educational materials for plagiarism by identifying text fragments without source references. The system analyzes works in Turkmen and foreign languages and is used to evaluate students’ research.
The main author of the program is Maksat Churiyev, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity. Other faculty participants included Mergen Amanov, Sapardurdy Ashyrov, Rejepmyrat Myratberdiev, and Rahat Nepesov.
Students and young specialists at the university also developed another solution — a “smart” program for monitoring energy consumption of lighting devices without the use of expensive sensors or equipment.
Both developments reflect Turkmenistan’s focus on promoting innovation, digital technologies, and scientific research in the field of education.
