The delegation of Turkmenistan will participate in the Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan

The delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the X Caspian Media Forum, which will be held on August 22 in Astrakhan, Russia. Representatives of other Caspian littoral states, including Azerbaijan, Iran and Kazakhstan, as well as a delegation from Uzbekistan, are also expected to attend the event. This was announced by Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin at a press conference in TASS.

According to the governor, the forum will become a platform for discussing current challenges and strengthening good-neighborly relations. The main theme of this year's event is "The History of the Caspian Sea: From the Past to the Future", which will allow participants to consider the relationship between the historical heritage of the region and its modern geopolitical, economic and environmental issues.

As part of the media forum, the Union of Journalists of Russia will hold an educational intensive "Inforum". It is expected that the forum will promote not only professional dialogue, but also cultural exchange. Film screenings and discussions will be organized as part of the event. Thus, the Foundation for the Support of Regional Cinematography of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia will co-organize the session "Cinema and Media".

The participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the forum underlines the importance of the Caspian region in the country's multi-vector foreign policy and its desire to develop effective partnership with neighboring states. In parallel, the Astrakhan Kremlin will host the grand opening of the V International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons". For almost two weeks, from August 19 to 30, Astrakhan residents and guests of the city will enjoy concerts at various venues in the city. The audience will hear the stars of the world opera scene, famous artists from five countries and the symphony orchestra of the Caspian Littoral states.
