Students from Turkmenistan win 7 medals at International Mathematics Olympiad in Bulgaria
07.08.2025 | 18:00 |From July 27 to August 3, the 32nd International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC-2025) was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. The team from Turkmenistan performed successfully at the competition, securing 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals in the individual rankings.
The Olympiad saw the participation of 434 students from 52 countries. Over two days, contestants solved challenging problems in algebra, analysis, combinatorics, and geometry. The Turkmenistan team was composed of students from five of the country's leading universities: Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
Participation in the Olympiad was not only a test of the students' mathematical abilities but also a valuable opportunity to meet young people from around the world and establish friendly contacts.
