 Films to be screened, and Turkmenistan's film industry to be discussed in Astrakhan

Astrakhan will host the 10th anniversary Caspian Media Forum on August 21st and 22nd. The event will be attended by representatives of the film industry from Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The forum is dedicated to the history and future of the Caspian region. The program includes a plenary session and four other sessions, including "Cinema and Media," which is co-organized by the Regional Cinematography Support Fund of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

During this session, key film representatives from the participating countries will speak about the development of cinematography, successful international projects, and the prospects for collaborative work.

Concurrently, Astrakhan State University will host screenings of documentary films dedicated to the cultural traditions of the region's peoples.

Eleonora Tukhareli, General Producer of the Regional Cinematography Support Fund, emphasized the significance of the forum as a platform for interstate and intercultural cooperation, which has been successfully developing for ten years.

The event is organized by the Government of the Astrakhan Region, the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS and the "Caspian-Eurasia" Center.
