Oriented on making people closer

Today, a telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Digital Transition of San Marino Luca Beccari. During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, confirming their interest in further strengthening cooperation on international platforms.

The key point of the conversation was the exchange of views on the agenda of the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), which will be held in Avaza.

Despite its European status and developed economy, San Marino is one of the oldest and smallest republics in the world, completely surrounded by Italian territory and landlocked, which gives its participation in the dialogue on LLDC issues special weight. Like other countries in this category, San Marino faces challenges related to logistics, trade and access to international markets. This experience makes it a valuable partner in discussing solutions for landlocked states.

This dialogue between Turkmenistan, as the host of LLDC 3, and San Marino highlights the universality of the challenges faced by landlocked developing countries and the importance of finding joint solutions at the global level.
