The event featured two themed exhibitions — one showcasing Dehua white porcelain from China and the other dedicated to Chinese equestrian culture.
Attending the ceremony were Ahmed Berdyev, Head of the State Association “Turkmen Atlary”; Pygy Bayramdurdyyev, Head of the “Galkynysh” equestrian stunt group and Rector of the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding; as well as Nursakhet Shirimov, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan. The event was also attended by heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of various ministries, cultural institutions, and members of the artistic community.
The exhibitions took place from June 3 to July 6, 2025, and were organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the State Association "Turkmen Atlary," the Museum of Fine Arts, and the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition featured more than 40 modern works of Chinese porcelain and over 150 traditional saddles crafted with high artistic quality. Also on display were photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other artworks related to the theme of horse breeding.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Zhong Hua, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan, expressed her gratitude to the Turkmen side for their full support and cooperation in organizing the event.
In an interview with the Orient news agency, Ms. Zhong Hua noted that the exhibitions of Dehua white porcelain and Chinese equestrian culture reflected the high level of craftsmanship in China, as well as the shared appreciation for horses between the peoples of China and Turkmenistan. She emphasized that cultural events like this play an important role in deepening mutual understanding and strengthening friendship between the two nations.
The diplomat also recalled the successful celebration of the Year of Chinese Culture in Turkmenistan and the Year of Turkmen Culture in China over the past year, calling them a significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations. According to her, both China and Turkmenistan possess ancient histories and rich cultural heritage — a solid foundation for building a dialogue of civilizations and humanitarian cooperation.
The ceremony concluded with a traditional Chinese reception for all guests.
