80th anniversary of Victory: Veterans in Turkmenistan receive gifts on behalf of the President

These days, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is being celebrated with great fanfare in all velayats of the country, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag city. On the occasion of this significant date, a ceremony was held at the "Mekan" Palace in the capital for the presentation of monetary and valuable gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to war veterans and the widows of fallen soldiers, as reported by TDH.

An exhibition was organized for the participants of the solemn event demonstrating materials from the time of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, including letters from the front. This serves as a clear testament to the reverence with which the heroic deed of the Turkmen people is regarded in our country. 1 The literary and musical composition that opened the ceremony deeply impressed its participants. Songs dedicated to the war years were performed with great enthusiasm, and performances combining spirituality and patriotism enriched the meaning and content of the celebration. In this regard, it is noteworthy that songs based on poems by Hero Arkadag and Malikguly Berdimuhamedov have become a hymn to the unity, courage, and diligence of the Turkmen people.

As noted, the poem "Biz ýeňeris" by Malikguly Berdimuhamedov, a devoted son of the Motherland who served for many years in the internal affairs bodies, achieved great merits in educating youth in the spirit of hard work and devotion to the Fatherland, dedicated his life to the people and native land, demonstrating a great example of humanism, and is currently a patriotic song of hearts.

In Turkmenistan, veterans and the widows of soldiers who perished in the war are honored at the state level. This is a vivid example of the continuity of national traditions under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully implements the noble initiatives of Hero Arkadag.

A clear demonstration of this is the solemn presentation of monetary and valuable gifts to war veterans on behalf of the Head of State in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, in accordance with the recently signed Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

The current event marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory reflect the reverence for the unparalleled heroism displayed on the battlefields by the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the selflessness of the gray-haired mothers who worked in the rear during that time, their noble work in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, heroism, courage, strengthening the unity and cohesion of our people, and their contribution to the successful implementation of fundamental reforms in the country.

As noted during the ceremony, significant events and large-scale initiatives in our country are marked by grand celebration. Participants expressed sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the importance attached at the state level to honoring our ancestors who left an indelible mark on history.

War veterans and the widows of fallen soldiers also addressed words of gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their tireless efforts in the name of maintaining peace, unity, and the well-being of the Turkmen people.

Masters of Arts dedicated their vibrant performances to the independent Motherland, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and the high achievements of the Turkmen people under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully continues the initiatives of Hero Arkadag.

Solemn ceremonies for the presentation of monetary and valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 are also taking place in the velayats, cities, and etraps of the country.
