Issues of cooperation in healthcare discussed between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia
24.03.2025 | 15:23 |On March 21, 2025, a meeting took place between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Lena Nanushyan.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in such areas as medical tourism and interaction in the field of pharmaceutical production were discussed.
The Turkmen diplomat informed the Deputy Minister of Health about the Charitable Fund of Turkmenistan for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and activities related to the modernization of the national healthcare system, emphasizing that the protection of human health is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan.
The parties considered issues related to the holding of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation in Yerevan at the end of March of this year, during which issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare will also be discussed.
The Ambassador also invited representatives of the Ministry to participate in the international healthcare exhibition, which is held annually in Ashgabat in October.
