Oratory contest among youth was announced
03.03.2025 | 23:30 |A public speaking contest has been announced in Turkmenistan to identify talented, eloquent young speakers, as well as to demonstrate the richness of the native language inherited from our ancestors.
The exact date of the contest will be determined by the rector's office of the universities, and it will be completed by the end of April 2025, covering all higher educational institutions of the country.
The contest will be held in two stages. For those wishing to participate, a qualifying round will first be organized, within the framework of which the rectors of the universities will prepare tests on the following subjects: modern Turkmen society, the Turkmen language, the basics of the legislation of Turkmenistan, the country's foreign policy, as well as on the valuable works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan. Based on the results of the testing, the level of knowledge of the participants who will be able to promote state policy will be assessed, and the best of them will have the right to go to the second stage.
In the second stage, the contestants will deliver a speech on the topic of "Turkmenistan's Foreign Policy and Its Permanent Neutrality", demonstrating their abilities.
It is also reported that representatives of relevant ministries and public organizations will be able to take part in the competition.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners will receive the right to become members of the "Young Speakers" group under the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and will also be awarded valuable gifts from the Central Council of the Youth Union named after Magtymguly.
