Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan facilitates transit transportation of Belarusian potash

JSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TULM), as the operator of container transportation on Turkmenistan's railways, continues to implement large-scale container shipments within the framework of the international North-South transport corridor. Since February 2025, TULM has started transporting potash fertilizers produced by one of Belarus' largest enterprises, JSC "Belaruskali".

As part of the initial shipments, two test container trains have been organized, each consisting of 62 (40-foot) containers. The transportation route passes through Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran, with transit through Etrek station in Turkmenistan. From there, the fertilizers are transported by sea via Bandar Abbas port in Iran to China's eastern seaports.

A total of eight test train shipments are planned, with a monthly transportation volume of up to 20,000 tons. In the future, TULM intends to expand the route’s geography and send container trains with Belarusian potash through the North-South corridor to Indian ports.
