Oriented on making people closer

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Stanislav Chepurny on Friday, February 14.

The Belarusian diplomat was acquainted with the priority areas of domestic and foreign policy of our country, the composition of the national Parliament, and the work on legislative support for program reforms implemented in the economic, cultural and social spheres.

During the conversation, it was noted that the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation will contribute to enriching the content of Turkmen-Belarusian relations. An important role in this context is given to the activities of inter-parliamentary friendship groups created on a bilateral basis.

The parties were unanimous in the fact that parliamentary diplomacy is of great importance in strengthening and intensifying trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Belarus.
