 RECCA and "Taze Zaman" join forces to improve the environmental situation

During a working visit to the Lebap velayat, the director of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (RECCA) project office in Turkmenistan, Mergen Kepbanov, signed a memorandum of understanding with the public organization "Taze Zaman". The purpose of the memorandum is to combine efforts to improve the environmental situation in the Central Asia region.

The main areas of cooperation between RECCA and "Taze Zaman" include: increasing environmental education, improving knowledge exchange on climate change adaptation and mitigation, climate financing, and climate policy. These efforts will be carried out through joint seminars, environmental campaigns, development and dissemination of informational materials, active use of social media, as well as collaboration on grant preparation and project implementation.

The memorandum is seen by both parties as an important step toward the realization of joint projects that address the region's current challenges and the needs of the local population. "We are confident that cooperation with the public organization "Taze Zaman" will be fruitful and open new opportunities for the effective implementation of our initiatives. This memorandum is not just a document, but a confirmation of our shared commitment to working for the benefit of the region", emphasized Mergen Kepbanov.

In turn, the director of "Taze Zaman", Mubarak Kurbanova, expressed confidence that joint efforts would yield significant results. Both sides believe that combining efforts will lead to improvements in the region's environmental situation and contribute to the sustainable development of Central Asia.

RECCA's collaboration with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) related to youth covers many areas. The main fields of interaction include: educational programs; environmental projects; international exchange programs; supporting youth initiatives through grant competitions; assisting youth in creating eco-businesses or startups related to circular economy and new technologies; promoting environmental culture, research, and analytics.
