An International University of Turkic States will be established in Tashkent, marking a significant step in the development of the region's educational infrastructure.
The new university will be build up in accordance with a decree by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and will begin its activities in the 2025/2026 academic year. The primary objective of the university is to train highly qualified specialists for various sectors of the economy, including engineering, construction, logistics, information technology, healthcare, agriculture, and the food industry.
The educational process will be based on curricula from leading universities in Turkey, which are ranked among the top 1000 international rankings. Education will be offered on a fee-based contractual basis, with admission criteria and contract terms determined by the university itself. To ensure effective management, a governing council will be established to coordinate the university's activities and foster cooperation with international educational and research institutions.
