 The Ambassador of Turkmenistan discussed digital cooperation with the Romanian ICI Bucharest Institute

On January 21, 2025, a meeting took place at the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammet Annaev, and the General Director of the institute, Adrian-Victor Vevera.

During the meeting, Adrian-Victor Vevera presented current research projects and ICI's contribution to Romania's digital transformation. He also emphasized the institute's openness to cooperation with international partners in order to implement joint projects that would benefit both countries.

During the discussions, issues concerning the intensification of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of research, technological development, and digitalization were discussed. In particular, topics of common interest were touched upon, such as digital transformation, cybersecurity, cyber diplomacy, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, as well as the role of these technologies in supporting a sustainable economy.

In conclusion, Adrian-Victor Vevera provided information about the Digital Innovation Summit in Bucharest, which will be held from April 8 to 11, 2025. In this regard, the Romanian side invited a Turkmen delegation to participate in the Summit.
