The creation of a unified transit system within the SCO was discussed in Moscow

The establishment of a unified transit system within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was a key topic of discussion at the 39th meeting of the Special Working Group on Customs Cooperation, held in Moscow.

Participants at the meeting, including representatives of the customs services of member states, discussed mechanisms for implementing the "Single Window" system, aimed at simplifying trade and optimizing transit processes.

An important aspect of the discussion was the interaction between customs services, including the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles. This will expedite cargo processing and reduce administrative barriers, which, in turn, will contribute to the development of trade between the SCO member states.

The meeting participants reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the customs sphere, which is an important step towards integrating the economies of the region's countries.

The creation of a unified transit system is also seen as a way to increase the competitiveness of the SCO countries in the international arena, which could lead to increased trade volumes and an improved economic situation in the region.
