Oriented on making people closer

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev met with Tatarstan Rais Rustam Minnikhanov at SPIEF-2025. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.

Minnikhanov expressed deep gratitude to National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his attention to the development of relations between the two countries within the framework of Russian-Turkmen relations. He emphasized the existence of deep historical and friendly ties between the fraternal peoples, as well as the successful development of fruitful trade and economic cooperation, the press service of the Tatarstan Rais reported.

It was noted that a number of large enterprises from Tatarstan, including KAMAZ, KVZ, Zelenodolsk Plant named after Gorky, KER-Holding and Eidos, are successfully operating in Turkmenistan. According to the results of the last year, the volume of trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan exceeded $39 million.

At the same time, the parties agreed that there is significant potential for increasing the volume of cooperation. In particular, Minnikhanov proposed to intensify cooperation in such promising areas as oil exploration, gas transportation, automotive industry, aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding and the supply of chemical products.
