Huawei and the Kazakhstani IT company Astana Innovations have announced the launch of a 10G network pilot project in Astana. This initiative aims to significantly accelerate the widespread adoption of high-speed "smart" solutions and digital services across Kazakhstan. A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the recent "China – Central Asia" forum, as reported by the Kazakhstani publication "Kapital".

Under this pilot project, an ultra-high-speed broadband network with a 10 Gbps capacity will be deployed within the capital. Initially, the project will operate in a testing phase. The primary objectives of this initiative include enhancing communication quality, improving the stability of digital channels, and extensively developing the "smart" city ecosystem.

Gizat Amirgali, the Head of Astana Innovations, expressed confidence that the partnership with Huawei will unlock new opportunities for Kazakhstan and represent a significant contribution to the development of IT technologies and telecommunications infrastructure in the region.
