A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to present a state award and confer the honorary title of "Hormatly il ýaşulusy" (Honorary Elder of the People) of Turkmenistan to Abdulaziz Kamilov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Foreign Policy Issues.

The event was attended by diplomats, professors, teaching staff, and students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as media representatives. In his welcoming remarks, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov emphasized that the effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan serves the long-term interests of the peoples of both nations and is a key factor in ensuring peace, stability, security, and sustainable development in Central Asia. In this context, the contributions and personal involvement of Abdulaziz Kamilov in strengthening the friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples were acknowledged.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs then read the relevant decrees of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. According to the documents, for his special merits in strengthening the bonds of friendship between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, promoting national traditions and customs, maintaining unity and cohesion between the two peoples, educating the younger generation, popularizing the creative heritage of the classical Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, and given his significant personal contribution to the expansion of long-standing cooperation between the two states, Abdulaziz Kamilov was awarded the title of "Hormatly il ýaşulusy" and also received the Turkmenistan jubilee medal "Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna".

In a ceremonial atmosphere, amid loud applause, Abdulaziz Kamilov was dressed in traditional Turkmen clothing, including the don and a white telpek hat. He was presented with the relevant certificates and insignia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement.

During the ceremony, a congratulatory address from the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Abdulaziz Kamilov was warmly received.

Kamilov expressed his sincere gratitude for such high honors to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The diplomat firmly expressed his belief that cooperation, based on centuries-old ties of friendship and good-neighborliness, would continue to develop successfully for the benefit of the brotherly peoples.
