 Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan

On November 18, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova received credentials from new Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkmenistan Nijaz Čardaklija, whose residence is in Tehran.

On behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the national Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment, noting the importance of strengthening friendly relations between the countries.

During the meeting, the Ambassador was presented with the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality and mutually beneficial cooperation. The role of the Parliament in implementing legislative reforms aimed at developing various industries was also emphasized.

Nijaz Čardaklija expressed his readiness to actively promote the deepening of bilateral relations in the interests of both countries.

The Ambassador also met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Muhammetdurdyev, to whom he handed over copies of his credentials. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres. Particular attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of international organizations, where diplomats confirmed mutual support for each other's initiatives.

There were made proposals to hold regular political consultations, as well as to strengthen inter-parliamentary, trade and cultural ties.
