Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the work plan of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan for 2025
11.01.2025 | 03:55 |President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the government meeting on Friday approved the work plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the current year, submitted by Deputy Prime Minister, head of the foreign policy Rashid Meredov.
One of the ten chapters of the work plan, called “Organizational Issues”, determines the measures provided for the implementation of the diplomatic service in the period of preparation for important dates of this year-the 34th anniversary of Independence and the 30th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan, in honor of the announcement of the UN General Assembly of 2025 ” International Year of Peace and Trust ”, as well as the execution of relevant documents adopted by the Head of State.
Measures on the further development of interaction with the countries of Europe and America, the Middle and Near East, Africa and the Asia -Pacific region are concretized in the chapter of the “foreign policy cooperation of Turkmenistan”, which aims on consistent visits, political consultations, meetings and other international events in various areas of cooperation.
The chapter of “International Economic Cooperation” determines the steps to develop the planned activities of inter-governmental commissions, to strengthen interaction with foreign government agencies, companies, economic and financial institutions, with the aim of promoting the export potential of Turkmenistan and its investment attractiveness.
The chapter of “Legal Issues” is devoted to the preparation of documents provided for by the work plan for signing during the international interaction of Turkmenistan.
In addition to the mentioned areas, the work plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for 2025 includes chapters regarding consular activities, the use of information and communication technologies, protocol and other issues.
The work plan provides for the preparation of the priority positions of Turkmenistan, which will be announced from high stands of authoritative international organizations, and primarily at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
Measures are also planned to implement resolutions adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations last year on the initiative of Turkmenistan.
Along with this, the presented plan defines the priority tasks of the activities of diplomatic mission and consular institutions of Turkmenistan abroad.
