Turkmenistan’s State Statistics Committee Launches Online Platform For Statistical Reporting
15.11.2024 | 15:55 |The State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics has launched a new online platform, E-Stathasabat and Business Register, enabling entrepreneurs and legal entities to submit statistical reports electronically.
Users can access the service at sbr.stat.gov.tm, where they can create personal accounts and submit forms without visiting the offices of statistical authorities. To file reports, users simply need to upload scanned documents.
If users encounter errors, the system automatically sends notifications, allowing them to make quick corrections. The platform also features a support center with text and video guides for newcomers, as well as tools for registering new businesses and processing payments.
The statistics committee encourages the business community to actively utilize this new service, highlighting its importance for the digitalization of the country's economy.
Established on October 11, 2007, the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics (TurkmenStat) oversees the implementation of national statistical policy. The committee focuses on developing statistical methodologies, enhancing data collection and analysis, and integrating digital technologies. TurkmenStat comprises 19 departments and 2 divisions, along with main statistical offices in each province and Ashgabat, Arkadag cities.
It is worth noting that the implementation of a digital system across all spheres and sectors of the national economy is a key focus of the conceptual document "Revival of the New Era of a Powerful State: The National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052" and the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022–2028." It is also a critical condition for achieving the level of developed nations and ensuring stable economic growth based on knowledge and innovation. As the experience of technologically advanced countries demonstrates, digitalization has enabled them to make significant breakthroughs and become global leaders.
In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov directs the Government and the heads of ministries and industry agencies to focus on global trends and expand international cooperation at all levels. Among the national strategic priorities, the head of state has identified the active introduction of information technologies into various sectors of the economy in the medium term, along with the creation of a secure IT infrastructure. This infrastructure is designed to provide the foundation for an accelerated digitalization process, which is gaining momentum each day.
