By 2035, China will create a 3D map of the country

By 2035, China plans to create a 3D map of the country, China Daily reports, citing Liu Guohong, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Deputy Inspector General for National Natural Resources of the country.

The map will show geological conditions, urban landscapes and specific buildings.

According to him, thanks to integration with other big data, a real-time 3D map will accelerate the development of the digital economy, including contributing to the development of intelligent agriculture.

Thus, a map indicating geological conditions can significantly reduce the amount of geodetic work during the construction of railways and highways. The map will display real 3D landscapes of the city with precise details, such as the shapes of the roofs of buildings, for more intelligent management of the city.

In the future, the 3D map of China will cover a wider range of areas and become more accurate.
