Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he held a working meeting with the participation of relevant leaders and got acquainted with the road-transport infrastructure projects.

First of all, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan expressed congratulations to the National Leader of the Turkmen people on behalf of the population of the new city for the three awards that Arkadag City was honored with at the “World Smart City Expo” held in the Republic of Korea.

As emphasized, the Turkmen side presented a pavilion devoted to the “smart” city of Arkadag at the International exhibition, where its possibilities and features were demonstrated.

The exhibition consists of 116 pavilions, and representatives from more than 60 countries took part in it as observers. At the awarding ceremony, the city of Arkadag was honored with three awards: «Smart City Excellence Award» for achievements in the area of «smart» cities as well as in nominations «Foreign Smart City Award» and Award for significant contribution to the international exhibition «World Smart City Expo 2024».

It is worth noting that the new city has been honored with more than twenty international certificates and awards.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, having received the information with satisfaction, congratulated the population and leaders of the city on this joyful event.

Then, the projects of buildings for various purposes and road-transport infrastructure facilities planned within the second phase of the city development and their interior and exterior decoration were presented to Hero-Arkadag. Among them are a modern railway station, reconstruction of the Ashgabat-Gokdepe highway along which a road bridge is planned to be built, a shopping and service complex, an entrance arch to the Yzgant settlement, the “Taychanak” monument at the intersection of Ak Han and Kopetdag avenues, projects of the city lighting system and various types of bridge fencing.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people got acquainted with the projects and made appropriate corrections. In particular, it was noted that the new buildings and reconstructed objects should harmoniously fit into the architectural appearance of the new city and at the same time, it is important to pay attention to its environmental level and the specific location of buildings.

Then the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty held a working meeting with the participation of the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan and the hakim of Arkadag City.

During the working meeting, D. Orazov reported on the ongoing work within the framework of the second phase of construction of Arkadag city and the results of the working trip to the Republic of Korea, and hakim of Arkadag city G. Mammedova reported on the preparatory work for the worthy celebration of the upcoming significant dates of the national calendar.
