An Association of Journalists of the Organization of Turkic States will be established
20.12.2024 | 10:40 |This initiative was proposed during the 11th meeting of the Working Group on Media and Information, which involved ministers, responsible representatives, and high-ranking officials from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. The proposal was made by the Head of the Information Policy Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Salkyn Sarnogoeva.
According to her, based on the principles of voluntarism, equality, and legality, the Association should become an independent public organization for media workers from the member states of the Turkic Council. The structure should have its own seal and bank accounts.
During the meeting, a media forum also took place, with the participation of media experts, representatives of news agencies, media outlets, and officials from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. The key topic of discussion was the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the member states of the Organization in the information sector.
In this context, the head of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ahror Burhanov, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States to ensure the accurate dissemination of information about the ongoing changes.
