Contest for schoolchildren: "What can I do to preserve the ozone layer?"
05.09.2024 | 20:24 |The public organization “Ýaş tebigatçy” (The Young Naturalist) and the Ozone Centre under the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan are organizing a contest of children's creative works and methodological materials “What can I do to preserve the ozone layer?”.
The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is celebrated on September 16. It was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1994 in a special resolution. The date of the International Day was chosen in memory of the day of signing the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
This contest is aimed at raising awareness of students of educational institutions in Turkmenistan on preserving the environment and protecting the ozone layer of the Earth's atmosphere.
The contest is open to students of general and supplementary educational institutions of Turkmenistan aged 7-18 (grades 1-12) who are interested in the problem of preserving the ozone layer and the anthropogenic impact on the Earth's climate.

Summarizing the results of the contest will take place on September 25, 2024. The winners will be awarded with prizes.
