Oriented on making people closer

A scholarship named after the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi was established at the Karachay-Cherkessia State University named after U. Aliyev (KChSU) for foreign students, TASS reported with reference to acting rector of the university Tausoltan Uzdenov.

"Many students from Turkmenistan study at our university. In the year of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the great Turkmen poet and thinker, we decided to establish a scholarship in his name for foreign students," the agency's source said.

Uzdenov noted that the best foreign students - excellent students and activists of social work - will be able to apply for a monthly stipend of 10 thousand rubles. The first certificates were awarded to Altyn Bekmuradova, a master's student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, and Ogulnar Torayeva, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Philology.

Hundreds of students from Turkmenistan receive higher education at the U.D. Aliyev Karachay-Cherkess State University every year. Many of them are participants of all-Russian and international conferences, winners of sports competitions, and active participants in the student life of Karachay-Cherkessia and Russia. At the same time, they do not forget about the centuries-old traditions of their people and introduce the rich culture and customs of Turkmenistan at university events.
